Personal Statement

Volleyball is more than a sport. I am passionate about the game, not only the court play, but the training to improving my skills thru consistent hard work pushing myself and team to improve every day. My career has been about more than just what the sport, many lessons carry over into everyday life. I know these lessons are preparing me for the next Chapter in life. I love the game of volleyball but the main reason I love the game is the team and family aspect. I am a selfless player who is more about the team not just myself. As a competitor, I love to lead those around me to be better on the court. Leadership is a big part of who I am by helping push everyone around me on the court to push thru. I feel by picking everyone up around me pushes me to be better for my team. Being the captain of both my club and school teams, it’s important to me to pick up my players to keep the game positive and fun. We all know there are times it is difficult to push thru, but my competitive nature keeps me going for the team until the last ball. Everything I do as an athlete is about continuous improvement being a player that has the capabilities to hit but also primarily play defense. I may not be blessed with the height of others, but I play as if I am thru my work ethic to be quicker, agile, vertical and court awareness. My work ethic on and off the court is something I take pride in. My schoolwork in honors classes keeping my grades up to my speed and agility training outside the court supporting my growth in the game of volleyball. At the collegiate level I see myself as a motivator and contender, carrying over my leadership to the next level to see more of what I can really do to make a change and better the game for my Team.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
