Making it to the volleyball playoffs after my first year on varsity has been one of the best highlights of my volleyball career. My high school, East View, is fairly new, so we haven't had the time to build up our program which has made us one of the underdogs in the district. As a team contributor, my hard work and dedication to our success was definitely part of the EVHS VB foundation.
My grades are just as reflective of my hard work, however, I am not a good standardized test (i.e. SAT/ACT) taker. I got really nervous and I even took them twice! I was honored with Academic All-District for both volleyball and basketball my Junior year. One of my best traits is that I am coachable, not only in sports, but also in school. For example, when learning calculus, I just have to watch the lesson once and I got it down! The next best character trait that best describes me is that I am hard working. Outside of volleyball, I am taking dual credit courses and I work a part time job. In addition, I have been a part of the Max Performance club volleyball program for the four years (soon to be 5)! My club family has taught me to manage my time and to put my health and well being as a priority.
The best collegiate program for me is one that will allow me to learn more about volleyball, improve my skills, increase my health awareness and allows the flexibility for me to study engineering.
