Kristin Kruger '22 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing volleyball since I was 11 years old. I love the game of volleyball because it is my passion. I love the competitiveness and the family atmosphere of my teammates and coaches. Ever since I played my very first volleyball game, I instantly knew it was the sports that I can play everyday and never get tired of it. There is always room for improvement, and so many opportunities to get 1% better every time we step onto the court with my teammates. 

Playing volleyball creates and unbeatable atmosphere. I love the rush of a close game, diving, and giving everything you got till the last point. When I play, I am a whole different person. I will constantly work my front row back and forth throwing off the other teams middle giving my hitters the best chance of getting the kill. Defensively, I refuse to let a ball touch the ground! I am aggressive, positive, competitive, and a great teammate. I am very smart with my placement of the set, so my hitters can get the best opportunity to attack. I believe there is always room for improvement and I am always striving to get 1% better everyday not only on the court but in the classroom as well. 

I am currently a Junior at Hargrave High School in Huffman, Texas. I am maintaining a 4.1 GPA weighted, a 3.3 GPA unweighted, and ranked 30 in my class. I am currently enrolled in Dual Credit classes and plan to graduate high school with my Associates Degree at the same time I graduate high school. My goal is to pursue a career in the medical field while continuing my passion for the game I love. I have always loved playing in the competitive atmosphere and the bonds I make with my teammates throughout the years. I have played volleyball for around 7 years and striving to continue my career for many more. I have been on varsity since freshman year as a 5'7 setter/right side hitter. I am also a setter for my club team. I average a 9'2 vertical and have about 25-40 assists a game running my offense to the best of my ability. I am willing to work hard and hope to continue on playing the game I love.
