Hello, my name is Jordan Faith Brown. I am a Senior at Dawson High School in Pearland, Texas. I live in with my parents Eric Brown and Ana Martinez-Brown. Both of my parents served in the U.S. Army. They taught me and my siblings the meaning of dedication, sacrifice and teamwork.
My oldest sister, Erica, played volleyball and introduced me to it at a very young age. My mother and Erica practiced volleyball with me years before I was able to join my first team at age 7. I've played setter and outside hitter throughout my club and school seasons. This is my fourth year that I have exclusively played the Libero / DS position. So I understand the importance of every position and how I can contribute to my team.
I work very hard to excel in the classroom. I also maintain a busy volleyball schedule during school season and when on offseason conditioning everyday at high school and practice three times a week with my club team. This has me to manage my time both academically and athletically. I will be looking for a school that has a strong academic program and that is interested in my academic success.
I am a player that is coachable and wants to learn to become a better person and volleyball player. One of my strengths is my mental approach to the game. I enjoy competition and want to be challenged at the highest level. I enjoy the long process of a bunch of strangers, with a common goal, becoming a great team.
By the end of my senior year in high school, I will have played eight years of club volleyball and four years of varsity competition. I will have the school records in digs and hopefully in aces. I would have been named to my third 1st Team All-District team. Hopefully my experience both on and off the court will help me transition to the college game. My goal is to earn a college degree and play at the highest level of volleyball. I know it will take a lot of hard work and dedication. I am up for the challenge of being an upstanding student athlete. I am very confident in my skills and feel I can impact your program immediately.
