My name is Shakayla Brown, and I’m a varsity starting setter at Hirschi High School for class of 2019. I have been playing volleyball since 6th grade. Every year since then I’ve gotten serious about volleyball. Everyday at practice I’m trying to make myself better, but also my teammates. Since I stepped on the court, I’ve been aspired to play at college level. I’m a team leader and trying to be an example while encouraging my teammates. I’m very coachable and one of the hardest working players on the court.
In the classroom, I study hard in maintain a 3.875 GPA as fall of junior year. When, I’m not playing volleyball I’m either playing other sports such as, basketball, softball, cheerleading, and track. I also enjoy babysitting, attending church and being around my friends and family.
I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and on the court. I’m open to all options. I want to find a college that fit me. I hope to become a great role model to all my friends and family, as well be a great teammate. I want to major in chemistry or biology. I want to be an orthodontist or an pediatrician, I haven’t decided yet.
