Jera Strong '21 Recruiting Profile

I am a versatile player with experience playing front and back row.  I have 7 years of experience playing comp (6 years on a travel team) and adapt well in diverse settings.  I am a leader on the court and do my part to encourage comradery among all players. I played varsity in high school and battled significant diversity with determination and grit!  I committed to Otero College in La Junta, CO as a OH/RS in 2021 and am finishing up my second year.  As a sophomore, I am looking for the opportunity to transfer and continue my education while playing volleyball.  

I am a great student, graduating high honors in high school as a three sport athlete and maintaining optimal grades as a college athlete.  I genuinely love to learn.  I am driven in the classroom and on the court.  I completed my first semester at Otero with a 3.2 and quickly adjusted to finish my second semester with a 3.8 GPA.  

For a coach that is looking for a player with experience, excellent work ethic and a competitive drive, I am that player!  I love the game of volleyball and am looking forward to success at the Division 2 Level while continuing my education in nursing.  I would love to talk to you about your school and volleyball program!
