Hi! Thank you for taking the time to check out my profile.
My name is Ava Napierski. I am 17 years old and I am committed to play at Utah State in 2024. a Sophomore at Timpview High School. My Timpview volleyball team won the state championships in 2020 and 2022. My senior year I played at Orem high and we also won the state championships for 2023. It was such an amazing opportunity to be a part of such a strong and dedicated team of players. My Clubv team won the USAV National Championships in the American division and I was named to the All-Tournament team. Additionally, I was nominee for the Under Armour All American camp.
It has always been a goal of mine to play volleyball in college. I am a very determined person. My mom said when I was younger I would write down my goals for the day and shut myself in my room until I had accomplished them. I always push myself to be the very best that I can be and look for support and encouragement from my family, friends and coaches. I have a lot of energy and use it to motivate my teammates and to keep the mood positive.
I was born in Germany but moved to Japan and lived there for ten years. My family traveled the world and I have experienced so many different cultures. I love learning about new places and embracing the customs and people along the way. I have been forced to live outside of my comfort zone for most of my life, which has made me into a resilient and outgoing person. These qualities transfer to the volleyball court by giving me the confidence to integrate with all types of players and coaches. I know that I can learn from every experience that I encounter and can grow from both positive and negative situations. I am a good student and have maintained a GPA range of 3.5-4.0. I take honors classes and plan to take AP classes in the next few years. In my free time, I like to stay active with my parents and friends by going on bike rides, hikes, boating and spending time with my siblings.
I absolutely love volleyball and all of the opportunities it has given me to develop my strengths and weaknesses both on and off the court. I have met so many phenomenal people and look forward to the exciting adventures that are ahead of me. I know that I can become the best player by putting in the time and listening to my coaches, parents and teachers. I'm very grateful to be a part of this amazing sport.
