Volleyball has always been a sport I've enjoyed; However, my passion for the sport intensified after my first year of Club Volleyball. The environment of large tournaments such as Monument City, Capitol Hill Classic, NEQ, ECC, and SEQ intrigued me greatly as I lived for the intense competition and long hotel nights with my teammates. Ever since then, I have looked forward to club seasons with new girls and new coaches who would help me improve my game play. I've been told by several teammates, coaches, and parents that I have a positive attitude on and off the court which I genuinely do believe! I love cheering on my teammates through their mistakes and their accomplishments.
I hope to continue playing volleyball for years to come as I believe that there is always room for improvement. I appreciate it when I am told that there are more ways in order to become a better, more versatile player. It is truly motivating to watch players around me get better as I attempt to learn from their successes. Moreover, alongside volleyball, I work hard to maintain good grades by managing my practices with the homework I am assigned. I am highly interested in biology, marine biology, zoology, biotechnology, or anything in the branch of science. I am working on taking AP Biology my senior year as Biology was a class that intrigued me greatly freshman year. In addition, I am planning on taking AP Environmental Science to broaden my knowledge on the Earth's characteristics and nature's role in different parts of the world. This year, I am thoroughly enjoying AP chemistry as many of my teachers had told me that it would be a great introduction into AP Bio. I hope to continue my studies in the STEM field as well as balance my love for volleyball in college!
