I work hard in my athletics and scholastics. My coaches have told me since I was 4 years old that I am very coachable and that I don't limit myself when conditioning. In volleyball, I have played all the positions across the front, rotated all around the court and receive well in the back. My heart is in the game and it is my goal continue to get better at it.
In my academics, I am going to continue to work on achieving the most I can especially in my favorite subjects of math, history, and engineering. My hopes are to use the skills acquired in high school to fulfill a successful undergraduate degree. I am currently leaning in the direction of being an engineering major with a focus in biomedical engineering. I am thrilled to announce that I will be heading to Terra Haute, IN to play volleyball with the Fighting Engineers this coming Fall 2021-22 year and I will start on fulfilling my objective to become an engineer! Go RHIT!
Club travel season started this past November with practices and I've been on the court practicing and playing tournaments since the New Year. The club season is unusual this year and it is currently in a break period to incorporate the High School volleyball season and then the club season will resume following the end of High School season to end after Memorial Day. I've been actively playing throughout these unusual times and picking up a new skills in the area of track & field focusing on the field events with pole vaulting and throwing shot put & discus. The new skills have been great for increasing my speed, agility and muscle tone. I have met the standards to go to districts and possibly regionals with the HS T&F events. Exciting opportunities!
