My volleyball career started six years ago with a lesson at a local volleyball club. I joined that same club five years ago playing as an outside hitter. During my freshman year of high school I had the opportunity to be a starting outside and defensive specialist on the JV team. I was thrilled to be pulled up to the varsity team to play in districts that year. During my sophomore year, I had the opportunity to be the starting setter on the varsity team. The following year I continued to grow my skills as the returning starting setter and defensive specialist.
This year in club (2020), I am playing at the right side position. I work hard to be a good all around player and want to bring value, however I am utilized on a team. I am highly motivated to grow my skills as a setter for the remainder of my club and high school career.
Academically, I maintain high grades and take challenging classes. On the court I am always a supportive teammate, encouraging my team to work hard and push themselves to be better. I am a coach-able player and stay focused on the tasks at hand during practice.
My goals are to play at a college that best matches my academic and athletic needs. I want to play in a competitive environment that is going to push me to become better every single day. I am interested in studying physical therapy and sports medicine. At this time and I am open to any option geographically.
