I have been a fierce competitor for as long as I can remember. Beginning in elementary school I was a competitive gymnast, played soccer, led my softball team as a pitcher and competed in numerous martial arts tournaments. I was especially passionate about martial arts and enjoyed the determination, strength and precision it required. I also appreciated the focus on respect, integrity, being the best version of yourself and helping others that my sensi brought to his martial arts instruction every day. I studied under the same sensi for years and earned my black belt in taekwondo in 2018. I bring the same focus required for taekwondo to every sport I participate in, to my academic studies and personal endeavors. I am currently a multi sport athlete running cross country, track and playing volleyball. I am also taking dual credit courses through Liberty University and will complete my first year of college courses by the end of my senior year. In volleyball I have always played as a libero or defensive specialist, however, last year my team didn't have a setter. My coach asked me to step up and learn how to set for my team. I trusted his decision and instruction and was able to support my team through a very successful season. Last year we became the 2A New Mexico State Volleyball Champions. I also made First Team All-State and received the most votes of any setter. When I commit to anything I give it 100%. In volleyball I am committed and dedicated to be the best player and teammate I can possibly be. I am extremely passionate about volleyball and I believe I will be a huge asset to a college team.
