Personal Statement

Being a student athlete, I've learned to persevere through many challenges in both academics and sports. I would say it’s a quality that is a large indicator of who I am as a person.

In volleyball, I’ve pushed through having severe tonsillitis (to the point where I would blackout during games my junior year) and still achieving honorable mention in All-Conference. Then having a bone bruise halfway through my senior year- being told I would be out for the season- but pushing to play until the pain was unbearable, and still being nominated for All-Conference. Doing all this while still bettering my playing - never shying away from digging a ball.

In academics pushing to complete challenging courses with good grades was a struggle because I was taking classes that were meant for a grade level above. I love pushing my boundaries both academically and physically. I love learning new things and plan to major in sociology and minor in women's studies, and I love putting my all on the court.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
