I have always had a love for this sport. I have tried a variety of sports including soccer, basketball, softball, and tennis. Being a versatile athlete, I tried all but volleyball has always been my favorite. I have played for about 9 years, being in small rec teams or for my school. I have always loved it, yet I didn't start playing club until my junior year of high school. My club experience has been absolutely amazing, so I hope to pursue playing more in college. I have been described as hard working, coachable, and kind. I am always open to suggestion because I simply want to get better.
I am 5'11, almost 6'0, so I am very tall. I am about 140-145 lbs, so I am fairly skinny. Even though I am not the tallest or the strongest, it just pushes me to work harder. I joined weight training at my high school, so I have learned the mechanics of properly working out. I am strong, fast, yet willing to work even harder to improve. For my first year of club, I have done exceedingly well. I have gained the skills I need to continue volleyball at the college level.
In addition to being a good athlete, I am an excellent student. I am of very few in my class to have a perfect 4.0 GPA, while enrolled in harder classes. This year I am taking AP Seminar, AP Psychology, and AP Calculus. I have taken other honors and AP classes as well and stayed at the top of my class. I also participated in DECA this year and took 2nd in State. It was my first time ever being in DECA, so this shows how I am able to adapt quickly and do well. School is very important to me, so I have learned how to balance my academics along with sports. Overall, I would make a great addition to any team because I am a team player, and everyone can depend on me.
