My name is Arden Carnrite. I am a volleyball player. I started playing volleyball when I was 10 and fell in love with the game. I love the strategy and the game dynamics, where all players on a single side of the court work together for the outcome of winning the point.
I’ve had the privilege to play for Sudden Impact Volleyball Club in Bellevue, WA since I started playing volleyball. I’ve had a different coach and learned different life lessons every year, including how to be a good teammate, being accountable to myself and my team and how to push myself to grow as a player. Playing volleyball has given me the opportunity to meet and play alongside incredible athletes and develop life-long friendships. All my teammates have pushed me to be a better player and my coaches have helped me be a student of life.
My current and preferred position is OH or OPP but I work hard in the gym and out to continue to develop all my skills so I am a well-rounded player and can contribute to my team in any position. I am constantly looking for opportunities to practice my skills and be the best in my craft in and out of season.
I love to compete at the highest levels. I 've had the incredible opportunity to participate on the Puget Sound Regional (PSR) High Performance teams,
In 2018 (PSR Select) I participated as the starting setter.
In 2019 my club team moved me to OH. I was again able to contribute to the 2019 PSR (Select) HP team but this time as a setter/hitter.
2019 also marked my freshman season on varsity for Newport High School where I had the privilege to represent my school. Newport made it to districts for the first time in six years and I was named to the 4A KingCo Volleyball All-League Second Team, where I finished 7th overall in 4A KingCo for hitting percentage.
I had an injury that kept me out of competition in the 2021 spring season, however I returned to varsity in the fall of 2021 and again helped my team make it to districts and was honored by being named 4 A KingCo Volleyball All-League First Team finishing in the top three for number of kills, and was recognized as an honorable mention for the 2021 WSVCA All State Volleyball Team.
I also love to play beach volleyball and have placed in the top three in each of the events for the 2019 Alki Beach Volleyball Association (AVA) tournaments series and placed 4th in overall points. I’ve also played competitive softball and was on the All-City All-Star team for the City of Bellevue 2016, 2017 & 2018 before I decided to focus on my first love of volleyball.
I play the piano and violin, I love to cook, wake board, snow ski, draw and paint, am an excellent student and love to learn. I have a 3.9 GPA. My current passion is math and science and believe I’d like to pursue a career in science specifically chemistry.
I would love to have the opportunity to contribute to a team at the college level for the sport that I love with academic challenge so that I can continue to pursue balance as a student and an athlete.
