My name is Mikaylah Mary Ingrid Thompson. I was born in Tahlequah OK and my mom and I moved to WA when I was almost 9 months old. My mom was a collegiate athlete, playing both basketball and softball, and continues to play softball competitively today. She pushes me to be the best person and athlete I can be. We are very close. I have a laid back life but we are often busy with traveling to sporting events, both to watch and to play. I have been playing volleyball competitively since the 7th grade and I LOVE this sport! I love to be challenged to be better than the person across the net from me. I love to support my teammates and appreciate that they support me too! I would love to use volleyball as a vehicle to help pay for college and earn a degree. I am not positive at this point in my life what I want to major in yet. It will come to me, I'm sure!
In my Junior season I was selected as a WIAA Athlete of The Week for week 2. This was such an honor to receive! I have just received an email invitation to play volleyball in July 2020 with America's Team in Australia! This is a very exciting opportunity!
Thank you for viewing my profile. I look forward to being able talk to the coaches who are interested in recruiting me for their volleyball team!
