Hello, my name is Kiana Reyes. I have been playing volleyball in school since my 5th grade year. I’ve always had a passion for volleyball since the 1st grade as I watched the older girls in school play and with that, I knew it was something that I wanted to do as I got older. I’ve always been the kid with a bunch of energy at any given time of day so I would always go outside and play. I’ve only ever ran track and played volleyball for school but with friends and family I played football, soccer and basketball growing up. I eventually focused my heart and attention to volleyball. I love the rush I feel while I am on the court and the bonds I make with my teammates. Five words that are big to me in terms of playing are energy, discipline, teamwork, confidence and integrity. This year (my sophomore year) I decided to pursue this career of volleyball by playing club after my high school season to strengthen and sharpen my skills and abilities. Being a 5’4 player I’ve also had to work hard to play front row. I let my height not discourage me but rather drive me to work and commit harder so I am able to keep doing what I love. Alongside that I am also working hard academically. I have set multiple goals that I want to achieve both as a student and an athlete and I am willing to put as much time and effort that it takes for me to be able to work and achieve them.
