A time in my sports career that really shaped who I am as an athlete now was my freshman year of high school. High school volleyball and softball has taught me that teamwork is the most important part of any sport. My freshman year my volleyball team was the complete opposite of teamwork, it made it difficult to accomplish anything and we really struggled that year. My freshman softball season was the complete opposite. My softball team showed me that together we could accomplish so much more by having trust in each others abilities. They taught me that a hard working teammate, a trust worthy teammate, and a teammate that loves the sport they are playing is better than any skill someone is born with. Volleyball and softball have helped me grow as an individual but also as a team player, and i'm a better person because of it. It shows in my academics, as well as in my social life.
I aspire to show colleges that I am willing to push for what I want and believe in. My coaches have pushed me to be my best in mind and body. My academics reflect the drive that I posses, and I intend on bringing that drive to the schools, and careers that I pursue.
