Hollis Downing '23 Recruiting Profile

My past club season has taught me versatility and adaptability. 

While previously only being a middle, this year I stepped up to play opposite when our team lost our only remaining right side. My ability to succeed in both the fast-paced and blocking focused position of MB, as well as the coverage and smart quick thinking skills required as a pin hitter sets me apart from the rest. Wherever I am needed by my coaches and team, I can make the changes necessary to succeed and grow. I am hardworking, coachable, dedicated, reliable, and have a good eye for the court. 

In college, I aspire to continue playing the sport I love at a high level, while also not compromising on the academic side of schooling. Just as I work hard to maintain my starting position, I work hard to maintain a 4.0 GPA while taking rigorous AP courses and balancing the other aspects of my life.

I am selfless and tenacious in both my athletics and academics, and that is what sets me apart from the rest.
