Hi, my name is Lindsay Rosenthal, Class of 2019. I attend Richland High School as an 11th grader with a 4.0 G.P.A in honors classes. I currently play full rotation as an Outside Hitter and have attended Nationals the past 3 years with my club teams. Over the past years I was selected for the 2015 & 2016 USAV High Performance Youth Continental Teams (Alternate A1) along with the 2015 USAV National Team Prospect Youth Training Block. I enjoy this elite level of training and the challenges it brings along with meeting new teammates and coaches from across the country.
Currently and during my previous years, I played Varsity Volleyball at Richland and was awarded 2017 All-State HM Team & MCC First Team, 2016 and 2015 MCC All-Conference Honorable Mention, last year the only sophomore Outside Hitter acknowledged and previously the only freshman recognized in the Conference. I look forward to the growth and learning available to me this year during my upcoming season and thrive on constantly being challenged. I am excited to being playing on the Shockwave VBC U17 National Team again with Coaches Tim Davidson and Sandra Olin. This highly competitive team of girls will be a great opportunity for me to play with teammates of which all plan to play in college also and to attend some very challenging tournaments such as Matt Hartner Classic in Eugene Oregon, Las Vegas Classic, Colorado Crossroads, and the Pacific Northwest Qualifier in Spokane, WA.
Having played many different sports including years of competitive gymnastics and swimming, volleyball is my passion. Through playing volleyball, I have learned that teamwork is one of the most important skills a player can have. It helps in promoting communication which is a lifelong benefit to help me in the future. Another skill I've learned while playing volleyball is leadership. Being a leader helps me provide guidance on the court for the rest of our players. Teamwork and leadership are not only foundations in volleyball but tools that will benefit me for the rest of my life. I love being a leader both on and off the court, at my school, and in my community. I enjoy the challenge of playing at higher levels and with older competition.
In the future, I hope to play at the collegiate level and share with my teammates my drive, determination, commitment, and excitement which I give my training and playing in the sport of volleyball.
