As a Junior at Holy Names Academy, I aspire to play intercollegiate volleyball while majoring in psychology or neuroscience with a minor in kinesiology. My love for volleyball began at age 10 and I wish to continue to pursue this passion through college and beyond. As a student athlete, it is important for me to balance the rigors of academics with my commitment to volleyball and my teammates. As such, I maintained a weighted GPA of 4.2 while playing leadership roles with my volleyball teams. I believe that leadership transcends the court and place a high priority on trust, integrity and culture to build team cohesiveness. I pride myself on being a versatile and coachable player who is willing to get outside of my comfort zone to benefit my team. For example, in high school, I am a 6-rotation varsity outside hitter despite playing libero / DS for club. As the team leader in aces on both my club and high school teams for the past 3 seasons, I believe that serving is a particular strength of my game as I can locate the ball and change speeds with a high degree of accuracy. I am also comfortable setting with my hands and platform to deliver a hittable ball from anywhere on the court. I am quick on the court and have a wide defensive radius and am mindful of technique in order to play extended. I am always striving to become a better player and person both physically and mentally as I understand that there is still so much to learn and achieve.
