Growing up my mom encouraged me to play volleyball, but I didn’t fall in love with the sport until my freshmen year of high school. I got my first real taste for the sport the summer before I started high school. I worked with the high school coaches to learn the game and develop my skills, due to this I started varsity as a middle blocker my freshman year. The highlight of my volleyball career thus far was breaking my school’s season blocks record, leading my league in blocks, as well as getting an all league team honorable mention my sophomore year. Through these experiences I have learned time management and how to keep a positive attitude on and off the court.
My Academic goal is to maintain my spot on honor roll throughout high school, while still challenging myself with difficult courses. I am looking for a program that will be a good fit for me both athletically and academically. I believe I have the talent, athleticism, work-ethic, and positive attitude to play at the college level.
