Personal Statement

I have been playing volleyball, both club and high school, since my 7th grade year (2011).

I am a great team leader both on the court and off the court. I have played all seasons on my high school team as a starting middle hitter on varsity and for Mountain Rage Volleyball Club. I have been told by my coaches I am very coachable and easy to depend on during game situations. It is my goal for each point to not only better myself, but my team, and only want to reach the highest level of success. As a teammate, I strive to be the leader and dependable upon at all times, even outside of volleyball. I feel that a strong team depends upon the confidence in each other alongside with factors such as: hard work, time, and the willingness to win.

As a student athlete, I enroll myself in academically challenging courses and maintain a GPA no less than a 3.5. All of my teachers consider me as a great, hard-working student and reliable to turn in all assignments when due. I have been in all honors programs in regards to English course; I have been enrolled in AP Statistics, AP Literature, and AP Psychology as a junior in high school, passing both my Literature and Psychology exams with a score of 3. My senior year, I continue yto challenge myself by taking five college classes throughout my year. I am currently enrolled in college literature, trigonometry, and sociology. Previously, I had taken college writing and composition along with college algebra.

I am seeking to attend a college that has a welcoming environment along with an excellent balance of academic and athletic success rates. I plan on achieving a multitude of degrees, beginning with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology B.S. with a minor in Chemistry. Then, I plan on attending school to earn a post-grad degree and my PsyD to be in psychiatry.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
