- Our 16R Sandstorm team played in the Ohio Valley Region. We placed 3rd at the Pittsburgh Steel city Freeze. Took second place gold at the President’s Cup in Columbus. First place gold at the Bethany College Tournament. Third place gold at SPIRE and Maverick Tournaments. Second place gold at CalU tournament. At OVR Championships out of 94 teams we finished #13 in the Gold bracket. Our overall seeding was #10 out of 154 sixteen year old teams in the OVR.

- Sam got to work with various college coaches throughout the day. Her primary coach was Madison Machirek, Head Volleyball Coach at LaGrange College in Georgia. She also worked more with one of the coaches from Florida State University. Sam’s team scrimmaged the other teams and went undefeated for the day.

- This was the first volleyball camp Samantha attended. There were approximately 80-90 girls in attendance. At the end of the camp, awards were given to a select number of campers. The coaches and WVU volleyball players voted Sam “Most Improved Player” and a certificate was given to her by Head Coach Reed Sunahara.
