Olivia Mercer '27 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing volleyball since i was in 4th grade and even before i started i always knew i wanted to play the game because my mom played and I knew if she had a love for the sport i could find one too. Within the past three years of being on my Middle school and Competitive travel teams I knew that I wanted to play at the collegiate level and do anything to be able to be better player and understanding of the game.

When i started Volleyball I was a DS/Libreo but knew shortly i wanted to set and have goals of being a Libero.  I have ran a 5-1 and a 6-2 while setting for the past four years never stepping off the court. I am a leader on the court, a team player and I have a good handle on how to read the court.  I am a very coachable player and strive to learn how to better myself at the game. I am a hardworking player and determined to do whatever it takes to have a better mental and physical game. 

I Work hard all year around participating in Camps, school conditioning, School ball in the fall or AAU and USAV in the spring/summer, runing track in the spring, and riding horses and working at the barn to help me stay in shape and athletic.

In the classroom i maintain a 3.8 GPA while being in a honors and AP class and being active and involved in my schools FFA chapter doing many community service projects and learning how to live in the real world. I have been presented awards at the board of education for going to and wining competitions with my FFA chapter. Along with doing community help I serve in my church on a media and photography team to help capture the happiness in images. In the college I attend I want to be able to work hard in the classroom as well as pushing myself on the court. I am open minded and want to find a school with the best fit for me academically and Athletically at the highest level of competition possible.
