Hi, I'm Melia McCullough. I'm currently a sophomore enrolled in four honors classes and one AP class. I've taken the PSAT and scored a 1020, 540 on reading and writing and 480 on math. I have a GPA around 4.0 to 4.1. I played basketball for my high school the past two seasons but decided to start to focus fully on volleyball. I have played volleyball for my high school as well as my club/travel team, OVVC (Ohio Valley Volleyball Company). We begin practicing in January and continue our practices and tournaments until early July. I've been told that I'm a very coachable player by coaches, and I try my best to be an encouraging teammate. I've also played almost every position for volleyball. I was a setter for a few years, before switching to a opposite hitter, then to an outside, and finally to a middle. I thought that playing outside had been fun while I did it; however, I personally have grown to prefer playing as a middle. This school year I was a starter on the varsity and finished the season with the most blocks on my team overall. Volleyball is my passion. I'm at my happiest during volleyball season, the competitiveness and the atmosphere of the sport makes me happy. I love volleyball, and I would love to continue to play in college.
