Brie Eckerman '23 Recruiting Profile

I started playing volleyball when I was 10 years old, and I have been working toward my goal of playing college volleyball ever since.  I participated in my 6th year of club volleyball this year and have played school ball since 5th grade.  I made the high school Varsity team as a Freshman and Sophomore and started my Sophomore year.  I have been part of successful high school and club teams, while also maintaining a GPA of 3.99.

Some of my strongest volleyball skills include versatility (I am a left-handed hitter who primarily plays RS, but I also have set and played  defensive specialist ), strong blocking, speed, fast arm-swing, strong vertical, and good ability to read the court, both offensively and defensively.  In addition to these skills, there are many qualities that I have that make me a strong candidate for your college team.  I am extremely dedicated to the sport of volleyball.  I have a strong work-ethic, and I will do all that is necessary to achieve my personal and team goals.  I am committed to giving my highest level of effort both on and off the court.  I am an extremely coachable player and am always willing to learn, grow, and improve.  I am resilient during challenging times, always staying positive and never giving up.  I am also a very respectful person.  I have strong relationships with my coaches and teammates because I am supportive, I am open to receiving corrections, and I have good communication with others both on and off the court.  Most of all, I am passionate about the sport of volleyball, and I will continue to work my hardest and will bring all of these qualities to the college team for which I play.
