Volleyball is my passion. I have gone to many camps trying to become the best player I can possibly be. I have played volleyball since 3rd grade. My mom and grandma were coaches so from a young age I was taught the fundamentals of volleyball and really developed a desire to play the game.
I love playing volleyball and play every chance I get. I also work on developing other skills, like my vertical, that can help me in volleyball because I want to be the best player I can possibly become. In between my sophomore and junior year I lost 15 pounds and increased my vertical by 6 inches. The summer before my senior year I started jump setting since I think this will help me get to the next level.
Since we don’t have club volleyball offered around where I live I stay in shape by playing other sports like running track and basketball. I was all-conference and all-state in 2017 as a non-starter in basketball. Also for 2018 season I was a state champion and all-state in track. In 2019 we were State Champs in basketball and I was named Conference Player of the Year.
I am willing to work my guts out to become an asset to a team and become a better player. I can lead a team but I can also follow a team leader.
I also work very hard to get good grades in school. I really want to be a physical therapist or athletic trainer and be around other athletes. To do this I did a shadowing program in the summer, so I can get ahead and try to get into a physical therapy assistant program in college.
Getting to work with tons of different personalities in school and athletics is a good experience because I really enjoy being around people who can be themselves but also work hard for something they want.
