Personal Statement

To anyone who may be interested,

I have been playing water polo since I was 7 years old. At first, playing at a collegiate level was just a dream, but I put in a lot of hard work every day to even just get a little bit closer to my goal. I believe the moment that I realized my dream could become reality was when I was chosen as 2nd team All-American at the 2021 Junior Olympics. Since then I have achieved many other things such as being national champions with my team in 2022, and earning top scorer in both 17u as well as senior women’s NCL seasons in 2023. I am aware that playing in college is a great opportunity that can open a lot of doors for the future.

I have strong ball handling skills, I can score with both hands. I also have good endurance from my many years of swimming, and I see the game well. I am a team leader and try to lead by example while also encouraging my teammates. I am very coachable and hardworking, I adapt to new situations well, and I believe that I impact whatever team I play for in more ways than just scoring goals.

In the classroom, I study hard and maintain a high GPA. I also volunteer as a coach for the next generation of water polo players which shows my understanding and ability to teach the things that I have learnt.

I want to attend a college that pushes me both in the classroom and the pool. I want to find the right match at the highest level of competition possible. I hope to become a great role model to the next generation, such as my little cousin who also plays waterpolo, as well as the younger girls I practice with at my club, and make my friends and family proud.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
