My water polo experience at Miramonte High School and club teams with coaches Kim Everist and Maureen O'Toole helped forge my love for playing water polo and set forth my motivation to play at the collegiate level. At the collegiate level I am looking forward to continue to expand my skills to become a more proficient player. It is my aspiration to play for an excellent college team where I can help advance the team through hard work and leadership.
I believe I would be an excellent candidate for a college team as I would strive to improve my skills as well as use my leadership skills to help advance the entire team. I have a strong motivation to improve my skills and playing ability and advance these characteristics in my team mates. I understand there are many other excellent recruits, however, with my leadership skills I believe I can help my team mates succeed with hard work, dedication, and motivation to strive to achieve our goals.
Academically, I have worked hard as a student and most recently excelled in math and history. My striving for academic excellence has helped me achieve membership on the academic honor roll at Miramonte High School.
Athletically, I have been a competitive swimmer since age 5. I have enjoyed competing and excelling on the varity swim team in which I swim the 200 IM and 500 Free. I have been fortunate to have played on the varsity water polo team throughout my high school years.I have enjoyed playing year round club for several different club teams throughout my 6 years. I have learnd a lot from my coaches Kim and Maureen. They have helped me raise my level of play both defensively and offensively. I believe I have become a good defensive player. Offensively, my coaches have worked with me to develop shooting strategies. I have become proud of my shooting skills over the last year.
