I take being a leader seriously and am so honored to have my cap retired from DHS in recognition of my leadership and contributions to build up this new program at my high school.
Living in California, I have been swimming since before I could walk. I loved swimming, but missed the physicality of a contact sport. After playing soccer, basketball, baseball, and volleyball, I found a competitive mix I love - water polo. I have learned to be a leader with my high school's inaugural team. We are in a very competetive area for water polo and I have enjoyed bringing our team together and teaching water polo to girls who have never touched water before. It has been great to see their love of water polo blossom like mine did years ago.
I am looking to pursue a marine biology/science degree while minoring in elementary special eduction. I have loved dolphins and marine research for as long as I can remember. I believe the best way to help kids is to make connections in a welcoming learning environment to help them see their potential and thrive.
