Abigail Baker '22 Recruiting Profile

I play for Selma High School in the Central Sequoia League, Division II in a very competitive league.   Our school has difficulty recruiting players for Water Polo and this year we had to played several games with 6 players.   However, we played hard as a team and won the Central Sequoia League (CSL) title outright as we were undefeated in league.   We lost all our games by 1 point (4), with the exception of one Division I school defeating us by 5.   However,  having experience at all positions I have led our team and league in offensive assists.  In 2021 I was selected for the "CSL Player of the Year." I was also selected as "The Player of the Season" at Selma High School from all sports in 2020 and 2021.  In 2019-2020 I earned CSL "Offensive Player of the Year" as a sophomore.  Over time I have been selected All-League two times including 1st Team Central Sequoia League (CSL). All  CSL 2nd Team my Freshman year. I was selected Selma High School Athlete of the Year two times,  in 2019-2020 and 2020-2021.  I also participated in the Division I Central California High School Swim Finals. I finished 4th in the Backstroke and 11th in the Butterfly as a Junior. I love team sports and excel in my leadership qualities which I have learned from my parents and high school coach.  I am interested in the nursing or sports medicine field along with Physical Therapy and Communication.
