Although I am very new to waterpolo and only just started playing this year, I am taking every opportunity I can to learn the game even thought there isn’t much waterpolo where I live. I have always been a strong swimmer and both my parents were college swimmers. On top of that, my dad played college waterpolo. He passed away in January and I originally started waterpolo as a way to connect with him. I found that I really enjoy it and play in memory of him. Before starting water polo I was a gymnast from ages 5 to 15 and retired from it earlier this year. I am very coachable and dedicated to both sports and school. I love to learn more and I am taking AP and honors classes because I love the challenge. I am interested in math but don’t know what I would like to do yet with my math skills in the future. I enjoy coaching young gymnasts in our local gym, and I like helping classmates with math. I am hoping to find a way to combine my love for math with one of my other interests. I am also a caring person and community is something that is really important to me.
