Personal Statement
I have a strong interest in technology, more specifically coding and maths and see this as part of my future career. I am one of five girls in my year 11/12 digital solutions class and have a strong interest in the world of STEM. in my dream career I would also like the opportunity to solve problems to create a better world. I see my future working alongside likeminded people that want to make a difference and think differently to solve problems. My dream job is to work in the field of engineering, and not be at a desk all day but to create solutions to problems that may not have even been imagined. My goal for collage is to graduate with an engineering degree and the knowledge that allows me to make a difference within my communities.
I am 100% committed to my team and club which highlights that I have balanced life. In the past I was selected to play in teams representing Western Australia and Victoria demonstrating how easily I can transition into new teams and work with different people identifying and working with our strengths and weaknesses. This also highlights my agility and flexibility to navigate new and different situations. To achieve results at this high level takes an enormous amount of training somewhere between 14-16 hours per week. To continue my accomplishments both in the pool and study, I am committed and disciplined to realise my goals and continue to enjoy the balance between study and sport. I am also a water polo referee and referee up to 9 games per weekend over a 16-week season. I have developed a confidence which has equipped me with managing difficult situations, particularly defusing conflict with coaches and players, whilst maintaining the play of the game.
