As I pursue my goals of acquiring a degree in either Digital Media or Exercise Physiology, it is my hope to compete on a competitive water polo team that will allow me to fill a starting position in my second or third year in the program. Although the main focus of my athletic career will be to play water polo.
What I believe will differentiate me from other candidates in your program is my work ethic and my desire to overcome obstacles that I encounter as I participate in the sport. A huge advantage that I have over many of the athletes that I compete with is the fact that I am an All-American 100 fly swimmer. I am also the 2021 Varsity Swim Captain for the Highschool swim team. Outside of the water, I work independently to improve my strength and conditioning for the activities in which I compete. Finally, I am a player in the water that enjoys contributing to the team while improving at the same time with an ultimate goal for the team to be successful.
I think one of the first things that you will notice first about me is my character. I am a very loyal person, not only to my friends but also to my team. The team’s success is a priority to my own although I strive to improve individually as well. Academically I pride myself on being a high-performing student-athlete who challenges myself by taking advanced classes while maintaining an intense practice schedule. Finally, being an athlete is a strong passion of mine as I devote on average 25 hours each week to practice on both the swim teams and the water polo teams for which I am a part.
