I come from poverty and adversity. Single parent home with 2 sisters and one big dream, I want to wrestle in college and make a world team. I grew up in South Central Los Angeles and bused to practice and tournaments on a regular basis. I never miss school nor practice. I have committed my life to being a scholar athlete and maintaining a 3.6 GPA. After my athletic career I want to become an athletic trainer. What separates me from the rest of people applying is I have made my accomplishments without having things handed to me or given. Everything is earned. I have had help from my uncle, mom, and some coaches but in the end it has been my will and commitment that has kept my dream alive. My biggest accomplishments wrestling wise thus far have been placing 6th at California State Finals and getting to the blood round of the U17 World Team Trails. I lost the semi final at State by very little and was winning until I got reverse in the 3rd round. I was only taken down twice all of state. This year I have my sights on winning state and taking Fargo. Thank you for your time.
