I believe everything I do affects me on and off the wrestling mat. Whether that is mental toughness, physical strength, or anything else, everything you surround yourself with will affect you in one way or another. I would say I am a very determined and goal oriented person and I work to be the best version of myself. I would also say I am very coachable—I listen to advice about improvement and make those adjustments. Wrestling is something that I am very grateful to have in my life, and it has taught me so many important life skills. I have been able to manage wrestling and school together, all while maintaining a 4.25 gpa. I take both honors and AP classes, as well as participate in three other sports: cross country, track and field, and mountain biking. All of these sports have helped me with my athleticism and have taught me what hard work and grit really is. I plan to go to a college where I am able to continue wrestling as well as pursuing my educational and career goals.
