I would be a good candidate and college athlete because I lead by example to my team by inviting them to join me and get in a lot of extra work to improve performances, I also lead by example by achieving the impossible and set goals that i commit to achieve, showing that anything is possible. Growing up, I didn't have the best home life. I was in a situation where I had no guidance and wasn't doing well in school. when I was introduced to wrestling, I learned a lot of valuable lessons such as discipline on and off the mat, no matter win or lose I always choose to go the extra mile to better myself even if it seems challenging. Another valuable lesson I have learned to apply on and off the mat is hard work, in my experience nothing is handed to you, it has to be earned. A friend once told me this quote "NO MAN SHOULD WORK FOR FREE" I apply this quote whenever I walk into the wrestling room because when I wrestle it's just me and my opponent, so every mistake I make is on me, no one else.
