Amarae Venegas '27 Recruiting Profile

As though I am only a freshman in high school and am going on to my 3rd season of wrestling, I have big dreams. Wrestling isn’t just a sport to me. It is a discipline that has helped me build my character and work ethic. So many hours of  training, the mental toughness to face opponents, and the power to become better after many defeats have all been apart of my journey. Wrestling has taught me the true meaning of dedication, pushing through every practice and match with passion and a mind set full of winning. To me wrestling is also about uplifting my team, setting an example, and constantly critiquing my technique. As I look to hopefully join a college wrestling team, I promise to bring a character full of positivity , a character that loves challenge, and a character that has big dreams.
