Hello I’m Alyssa, and I am currently an 11th grader at River Ridge High school. I have been wreslting for 2 years, I started Wrestling my freshman year so I am going on my 3rd year wrestling. I have been training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for 11 years. I have won many tournaments during that time and decided my freshman year that I wanted to give wrestling a try, since my brother also wrestled in High School. I absolutely love the sport and plan on winning a state title and moving on to wrestle at the collegiate level. My biggest asset is my body awareness and never give up attitude. I just finished my second year of wrestling by placing 4th in the state of Georgia at the 110lb weight class. I also finished my freshman year on my high school track team by placing 3rd in state for the 4x800. I am very coachable and never forget what I am taught. I run Track and Cross Country as well and I have been on varsity since freshman year for both. I received 5 letters from college Cross Country and Track coaches to come check out their school. I hope to wrestle and run in college. As a kid I have won gold medals in golf, Jiu Jitsu, and rugby as well, I am very competitive and look forward to the challenges and excitement of playing college sports. In the classroom I have a 3.40 GPA and look forward to raising that with hard work in the classroom the next two years. I want to study Pre-Med and move on to become either an EMT or Physicians Assistant.
