Wrestling has quickly become my biggest passion throughout my junior year of High school. Up until now my focus has been on track but this year decided I wanted to try my hand at wrestling. It is my first year ever having wrestled, my career started a little later than most athletes I know, but I was eager to try something new. After my first year I placed 6th in my district, it was not without its challenges as I separated my AC joint early in the season, and I fell in love with the sport. After my accident I attended physical therapy and the moment I got the go ahead I got straight back on the mat. Over the course of the season, I learned so much about myself and the sport. I discovered I am tenacious, I am a quick learner, and I am not afraid to push myself beyond my limits to achieve my goals. Although I am relatively new to wrestling, I am eager to see where this sport can take me. I’m excited to put in hard work, continue to improve, and to see what I’m capable of achieving on and off the mat. I believe that I not only possess the ability to compete at the collegiate level but I also have the character, work ethic, and motivation to make an immediate impact on your program.
