Michelle Naftzger '26 Recruiting Profile

          I love wrestling very much and have done it since first grade. The first time I watched my brother wrestle, I knew that I wanted to do it too. I wrestled boys all throughout elementary and middle school, placing in many tournaments, and was one match away from qualifying for the IESA Boys State Finals my 8th grade year. My freshmen year, I wrestled 120lb girls varsity and 132lb boys varsity, and ended with a season record of 25-18 (Boys and Girls Record). I am proud of how well I did last season with qualifying for State, but this year I am going to work hard to make sure that I place in State. Not only am I a hard worker, but I am a leader. As team Captain, I push myself and my teammates to our best and can not wait to see what the rest of my wrestling career brings!
