I started wrestling when I was in third grade I wrestled all throughout elementary school when I hit sixth grade I didn’t hear as much about wrestling at that point I thought it was just for boys so I decided to focus on basketball. In seventh grade I decided to come back as a wrestling manager. I spent seventh grade in eighth grade as a manager. Freshman year I decided to get back into the sport. I loved the environment it had it truly was just like a big family. Sophomore year the pandemic broke out. My parents informed me that I would be doing virtual learning and that honestly did not make my year, when it got closer to wrestling season the cases started rising my parents informed me that I would not be able to wrestle, that’s when my heart dropped. Junior year I got back into it I took training way more seriously I never wanted to quit wrestling again. This summer I went to my very first wrestling camp it was nice to see all those people that care about wrestling as much as me there and now I’m very excited for my senior season. I can’t imagine my life without wrestling and I hope to be able to do it for as long as I physically can. I would love to wrestle in college so that I can continue my athletic career alongside my academic
