I was able to start wrestling my Junior year in High School in 2022, when Women's wrestling became a sanctioned sport in Iowa. Throughout my first year in wrestling, I have learned so much. I enjoyed the team atmosphere and look forward to being our captain this coming year as we begin our school's second year in this amazing sport.
My first year of wresting, was an adventure of ups and downs as I learned everything that has to do with wrestling in high school. I started with wresting in the 170# (@165#) weight range, and was able to cut to 155# when I went to regionals and earned a spot at state tournament. I have learned such a high level of confidence, dedication, strength, leadership and grit with wresting and look forward to continuing wresting beyond high school. I am eager to learn and do more at at the high school level and beyond.
