Leiannah Landreth '25 Recruiting Profile

Thank you for viewing my profile, as you know my name is Leiannah, and I love to wrestle. My life has revolved around it since I was 9 years old. Back then after watching my older brother, I asked my mom if I could join the team...she said no. But that if the next year I still wanted to try it out, she would sign me up. Well, next year came and I had not changed my mind.... so I started my career.  Early on I wrestled mostly boys, and did quite well, my first year I placed 6th at state, I was the only girl on the podium! Since then, my passion and drive has not decreased....in fact it has only grown. I strive to challenge myself and be the best.  I have NEVER dodged good competition, something my coaches say is somewhat rare. I take my future goals as a wrestler very seriously, and that shows in the training room, I am eager and very coachable.  I also learn quick, and I always put forth my best effort. I wrestle regular high school season and then continue on with freestyle/greco in the off season, I have done this for the past 3 years. Outside of wrestling I work hard at school. It does not always come as easy to me as it may to others (particularly when it comes to test taking), but I compensate for that by being diligent and hard working in all other areas of my academics and I believe my GPA is proof of that. I know that I have not reached my full potential on the mat, my style is strong and aggressive, and in college I hope to be coached by people who can develop that and make me better. I believe my talent to be God given and that there are no limits to what I can accomplish!
