I have been competing in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu since I was 8. I have also been competing in Japanese Jiu Jitsu, Judo, Kickboxing and Maui Thai since I was 12. I have over 300 matches in some form of grappling (Jiu Jitsu, Judo, Freestyle, Folkstyle and submission only). I have over a 87% win record and have competed in the adult divisions since I was 12. I have a YouTube page named "Chloe's Matches" should you be interested in looking at a variety of my styles and matches.
My work ethic in the gym is outstanding. I have been training an average of 5 days a week for the last 8 years in Jiu Jitsu, Judo, Wrestling and CrossFit. I work hard, help my teammates and I am passionate about my sport.
I am working on achieving my black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ), Japanese Jiu Jitsu, Judo and Maui Thai (different belt system). In both forms of Jiu Jitsu I cannot receive my black belt until the age of 21.
I started wrestling to improve my Jiu Jitsu (help me develop my ground game - top control) and add to my take downs (Judo throws, BJJ and Jiu Jitsu take downs - add single, double, firemen's and a few others). I discovered that my submission grappling skills transitioned well to wrestling and I have had great success in my short wrestling career (started in 2020). I know that I am continuing to grow in my sport and continue to add tools to my toolbox. I am looking to continue to grow these skills by competing at the colligate level.
I know I have yet to reach my full potential in wrestling and know how beneficial colligate wrestling will be in helping me evolve my skills and capabilities.
I am looking for a college that has a close family type atmosphere in which my skills can be an asset in helping bring local, state, and national championships to them. I thrive in environments in which my coaches and my teammates push each other to pursue excellence while building tight relationships and having fun.
I am a quiet individual, but I am deep in thought and always observant. I learn best with coaches that are not afraid to go hands-on with me in their approach. I learn best by doing the moves step-by-step and not being told how to do them or shown on someone else.
I am not an aggressive person day-to-day, but once my match starts, the switch is turned on and I am single minded in my purpose - dominate my opponent and overwhelm them with controlled aggression. I work hard to be conditioned better than my opponents and look to drag them into deep water where I can feel them lose the will to continue.
I want to wrestle for a team that values me as a person first, a student second and an athlete third. When I have a trusting, loving relationship with my coaches, there is nothing I won't do to perform my best for them. Life is stressful enough, my team and coaches should not add to that. They should be my rock, and support me through the good times and the bad.
I know what I have to offer and know my potential. In the right environment, I will be a top ranked wrestler and have goals of being an All American and bring a national championship title to my team.
