Since I was six years old, I have been involved in combat sports. From my first boxing classes at a YMCA, to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu courses and competitions, to mixed martial arts, I have always had a strong passion for the dedication and drive required to succeed in these sports. I trained beyond the gym walls, either working out or watching film. I knew I could be one of the best; and I was willing to do what it took to achieve this status.
While this is my first year in wrestling, I knew from the first practices that this is what I want to do in my future. This sport, more than any other, has established a solid foundation of discipline and desire. My coaches and teammates are more than simply peers on journey – we are family destined toward accomplishing a greater goal. In the future, I hope to find a college that could represent these features and expand my wrestling family.
