My name is Kaitlynn Frank. I am currently a Junior in high school, and I have wrestled since my freshman year of high school. When I first started wrestling female wrestling wasn't even a sanctioned sport in North Carolina yet. Since there were few other girls in the sport yet I had to try out for the boys wrestling team. I was the varsity 113 lb. wrestler. Over time I practiced harder and harder every day trying to improve my technique and understanding of the sport. Fast forward 2 years and female wrestling is now a sanctioned sport in North Carolina. I am now in my second year as a Captain for the female wrestling team at Lejeune High School, as well as the varsity 120 lb. wrestler for the female and male wrestling teams. At the end of the next two years I hope to take my wrestling career to the next level and wrestle in college. I try my hardest every day to help my teammates grow with their journey in wrestling as well. Outside of sports I try my hardest in the classroom as well to get the best grades I can. As well as participating in other extracurricular activities in and out of school.
