My name is Tatiana Guzman. I am a second year wrestler who wrestles both in school and club. Wrestling has become such a passion of mine and I hope to wrestle throughout college or university. I’m always looking to better myself and improve my skills both on and off the mat. I am a great candidate because I am willing to work as hard as possible to be successful in my sport and in my academics. I am very competitive and always willing to learn and take on a challenge. This year I wrestled in both my weight category as well as a category above to further challenge myself, and was able to be successful in both. During this school seasons provincial (state) tournament (OFSAA), I was able to secure second place in the 51kg weight category. I was also able to place fourth in the 53kg weight class for club provincials. I was also voted MVP on both my club and school team. I have made great improvements since last year when I only used one move. My wrestling has greatly developed but I still have a lot to learn and I hope I get the opportunity to do so at a higher level. I am willing to attend school at any location and I’m super excited to see where I end up.
