I joined wrestling in kindergarten.Frank Molinaro wrestled for Penn State he was one of my biggest role models growing up he would come to our room and do clinics. Along with my brother Bryce Molinaro who I grew up in the room with he is now a junior at Penn State for baseball. Growing up in the room my dad was my coach and my brother was my competition. I knew I had to be better than my brother so I pushed myself not only on the mat but also in the classroom. I watched my brother and all his success. And I knew I had to prove to not only myself, but everyone around me. Until last year I wrestled boys. But no matter who’s on the other side of that line there’s only one goal to get your hand raised and most importantly to learn. It’s not always about winning. It’s about the experience. Sometimes you lose, but then you get in the room the next day and work 10 times harder. Every sprint every stance in motion every time you hear that buzzer you get to work. And I learned through my years of experience that the only way you succeeded is if you fail more than once. Every time you step on that line, you need to leave everything on the mat. Without that sacrifice, there’s no victory every time you leave that practice room you should feel better than you were the day before. I feel like I’ve pushed myself harder and harder each day and that’s the sport of wrestling. I want to continue to push myself until I make it to the top, one match at a time.
