Hi,

My name is Juliana LeFort. I am a 17-year-old, living in North Texas for the last 9 years. Before Texas, I lived in California, The Czech Republic and Canada (My Dad's work moved us around quite a bit before). I am also bicultural, having a Canadian Father and a Mexican mom. 

I am an avid reader, reading 1 to 2 books a week. This is something I am very proud of because I am also dyslexic and it took a lot of perseverance to be able to enjoy books like I do today.

Developing the skills of perseverance and resilience has helped me with my academics and athletics. I have progressed from being an A/B student to an A student by learning how to adapt to a curriculum that's not always equipped for my learning challenges and got good time management skills from having to balance school and practice. This has enabled me to practice 15-20 hours a week while continuing to get great grades.

I am excited at the prospect of going to college. I enjoy learning and want to pursue a medical career- like Dentistry or orthodontics. I am even more excited about the opportunity to continue wrestling in College. I love the sport and how it pushes me to be a better person on and off the mat. And I enjoy the challenge it provides me - both mentally and physically.

I love being a part of a team that supports and pushes each other to be the best version of themself, not just on the mat but in all aspects of life.
